Ski*go has the range of poles for all Nordic skiers. From recreational and fitness skiers to club and World Cup racers.
Common technical details are:
shaft diameter @ top = 17mm
shaft diameter @ bottom = 10mm (Vasa & Elit), 7mm (Racing Elit)
handle length = 14cm
pick length = 10mm
shaft wall thickness = 1mm
handle overlays shaft = 84mm
Freelength kits include two shafts, two baskets, two handles, two straps
and two identity stickers. The baskets are attached to the shafts already.
A freelength shaft uncut after a handle is attached can result in a pole
length of 182cm. To determine the cut point on a freelength shaft measure
the desired length from the tip of the pick on the basket to the handle
end of the shaft. Then subtract 74mm to obtain the cut point.
Double check your measurement -- measure twice cut once!!
Wrap masking tape at the cut point to easily indicate the cut point.
Secure the shaft gently before starting to cut so it will not shift or roll.
Cut the shaft with a very fine tooth saw. A new sharp saw blade will work
best and easiest. Saw through the shaft with light pressure for each stroke
so you will not splinter the material when the cut is almost complete.
Example: desire 165cm pole; 165cm - 7.4cm = 157.6cm.
You can obtain spare of replacement parts for all poles. Your local ski retailer will already carry extra handles, straps and baskets from Ski*go or can obtain them quickly and easily. Roller tips are also available for all poles.
These are recommendations only and there will be some variance from skier to skier based on skill level, strength and body proportions.
