Waxing TablesThese are on-line copies of the Racing Wax Tables found in the catalog: For recreational club members we also have:Athlete Sponsorships & SupportSki*go does provide sponsorship and support for selected individual athletes for our ski poles, gloves, roller skis, etc. The selection is based on submitted athletic resumes. Resumes can be sent to Ski*go with a brief cover letter. Resumes should be detailed and include at the least the following information: race results (where, when, position) for the past several years, training accomplished and planned, training and result goals, coaches (current and past), athlete name, contact information, parent/guardian contact if under 18 years of age. RecommendationsThese recommendation are currently being added to this new web page. This information is under change and more information will be coming. Regularly coaches, racers and active skiers ask for recommendations of which Ski*go products to start with. Our obvious answer is "everything"! A more detailed answer requires knowing your individual emphasis, athlete targets and budget constraints. It can be helpful that some skiing seasons are on average tending to be warm or cold. With this framework we present some guidelines for getting started with some explanation of our rationale. Our assumption with all of these recommendations below is that you already have the proper equipment for waxing. Please always remember to wax in a well ventilated area not only for fumes but dust particles too. Our one overall recommendation for Nordic skating and Alpine (Downhill and Snowboard) is to have all of the non-fluoro glide waxes. These waxes are not expensive. These are Yellow/C242, Orange, Red, Violet/Ultima, Blue, Green and Graphite. This ensures that you always have something to match whatever conditions you face. This also provides you with a test-base to begin with. The Forced PickThis is a favorite for skiers and coaches to do: ask "If you are forced to pick only two or three...". First, all of our waxes are great! But we will meet the challenge because in trying these waxes we know you will very satisfied and become intrigued to try the others. For racers glide: Blue, Violet/Ultima and C380. For recreational glide: Violet/Ultima, Green and Orange. For racers grip: HF Blue, HF Red and HF Yellow Klister. For recreational grip: XC Violet, XC Orange and XC Green. Nordic Active Skate SkierYou are an individual waxing and selecting glide waxes for yourself. You want to spend time skiing. You ski two to three times a week and enter one to three loppets or races per season that are 20km or less. You are a skier who wants to enjoy your ski time and are mildly competitive.
Nordic Serious Skate SkierYou are similar to the Active Skate Skier but are more competitive. You enter longer races (>20km) and colder weather deters you less. You travel outside your region to race.
Nordic Racer Skate SkierYou are very competitive. You are racing almost every weekend during the season. Your goal is qualify in your regional finals to attend Nationals.
Nordic Serious & Racer Classical SkierYou classic ski for training, cross-training (for race skating) and racing. You enter classical races >20km in length and are very competitive.
